My Interests

MUSIC

I come from a musical family and have enjoyed music and singing from ever since I can remember. I have reached Grade 5 singing and I also play guitar and piano to a satisfactory level. Before I moved to Falmouth I was the lead singer of a Liverpool band, I thoroughly enjoy performing in front of an audience. I have a huge appreciation for strong vocalists and take inspiration from female singers such as Etta James, Christina Aguilera and Whitney Housten. I am looking to release some YouTube singing videos at the end of the year to reignite my love for singing and performing and I am hoping to create a successful online artist profile.

THE OUTDOORS

The transition from Liverpool to Cornwall has lead to a fond appreciation for the outdoors. I enjoy partaking in activities such as sea swimming, kayaking and cliff jumping. As a self pronounced city girl I never thought I would develop these hobbies but I am satisfied with my choice of relocation and hope to keep up these hobbies when I settle back into city life. I am keen to take some surfing lessons before I finish university in order to take advantage of Cornwall's many beaches. I have also discovered the Lake District as one of my new favourite places. I visited recently to go hiking and ghyll scrambling and will definitely be returning to enjoy more activites soon.

TRAVELLING

Although I have grown used to being away from my family for 3 months at a time, by the end of that 3 months I am always excited to return home. My favourite way of seeing new places is to go and visit for 2 -3 days and do as many activities as possible in that time. If you like what you have seen you can always revisit and explore more and if you don't you're not stuck there for a whole week, there's nothing worse than wasting your time when you could be doing something productive. I recently visited Amsterdam three days and throroughly enjoyed the trip. This trip inspired me to visit more European cities and I currently have weekend breaks booked for Rome and Paris.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
